There is a new Truth Squad in town and this time they are defending the record of Barrack Obama. Yeah I didn’t know he had a record either. I guess they saw how well it worked for McCain last week, so they built their own team of winners (and some losers).

Here is the rest of the email since I know you’re so interested.

Join the Truth SquadToday, I’m pleased to announce the formation of the South Carolina Truth Squad — an effort to keep this campaign focused on issues instead of personal attacks and smear tactics.

Our goal is to elevate the tone of the Democratic primary by pushing back on negative attacks and correcting inaccuracies in statements from our opponents.

The Truth Squad is encouraging South Carolinians to report false attacks and smears and to keep a sharp eye out for old-time political tricks.

If you have encountered a false attack in your mail or email, via an automated phone call, in fliers dropped at your door, or anywhere else, report back immediately. With our primary coming up this Saturday, January 26th, we also encourage you to report any schemes to discourage voting or block access to the polls.

Call the SC Truth Squad Hotline at 877-622-6228 or visit us online:

Members of the South Carolina Truth Squad include:

  • Former Democratic Attorney General Nominee Steve Benjamin
  • Former SC Democratic Party Chair Joe Erwin
  • Former SC Democratic Party Chair Dick Harpootlian
  • Former SC Governor Jim Hodges
  • State Representative Todd Rutherford
  • State Representative Bakari Sellers
  • 2006 Democratic U.S. Senate Nominee Inez Tenenbaum

The truth is only as strong as your voice.

Stand up for a new kind of politics and join the South Carolina Truth Squad today:
Thank you,

Stacey

South Carolina State Director

P.S. — The best way to change politics in South Carolina is to go get involved in your community. Join us in getting out the vote for the Democratic primary this Saturday, January 26th.

“…a new kind of politics…” which is monitored and guarded by the “former” politicians…

By the way, how many more former’s can you fit on one list?

Par for the course for the SC Demo’s. Saturday should be loads of fun…

These calls are an epidemic and are invading the privacy of All American Voters.

Our members are taking a stand and saying enough is enough at the National Political Do Not Contact Registry at StopPoliticalCalls.org.

Here is a quote from a member this morning:

“I find it very frustrating… I tend to get calls at the WORST time. I have a one year old daughter, and it NEVER fails that the phone will ring when I put her down for a nap or for bed. Also my vote is PRIVATE… so who do you think you are calling with a survey to find out who I am voting for!!! Stop calling me.”
