The campaign of Sen. Barack Obama has just sent out word that his presidential bid will pick up a major endorsement from a former White House contender in Charleston today.

CHARLESTON, SC –- U.S. Sen. John Kerry will announce his endorsement of Barack Obama during the “Rally for Change” today at The Cistern at the College of Charleston.

I think Obama, despite new momentum from rival Sen. Hillary Clinton, is going to have a hard time losing South Carolina.  But with that said, I don’t think this endorsement really helps him here.  And neither does parading around a bunch of washed-up TV stars.
