Most influential

The Greenville Journal last week released a list of their top 10 most influential politicians of the last quarter century in South Carolina. A few surprises here, but overall not a bad list:

  1. Gov. Carroll Campbell
  2. Gov. Dick Riley
  3. Sen. Strom Thurmond
  4. Ambassador David Wilkins
  5. Lee Atwater
  6. Sen. Fritz Hollings
  7. Katon Dawson
  8. Sen. Lindsey Graham
  9. Attorney General Henry McMaster
  10. Former DNC Chairman Don Fowler

    Katon Dawson…are they on drugs?

Under Katon’s leadership the GOP has become the party of big spending, big government. The party spends like Paris Hilton, and rules like Karl Marx!

The SCGOP has become a stepping stone for Katon and his ambitions. I hear he looks at his press clippings every night! So what if we are Dems in Rep clothing…Katon is doing very well for his troubles.

Gees…just when I thought it could not get worse…

Katon freakin Dawson?! Are you kidding me? And their reasoning is that he’s handling the 2008 Presidential Primary well? Kudos Mr. Chairman for your leadership these last couple of months, not to mention your many years peddling windshield washer fluid, which apparently translates into a quarter century’s worth of credit!

The Republican Party is a poor shadow of its former self.

Katon and a few others have run it for their own purposes…and when they leave their positions it will be evident to all…our party was stolen by a few slick hacks.
