It wouldn’t make for much of a challenge, but Dan Hoover is reporting that Greenville Democrat Brandon Brown may run against Sen. Lindsey Graham in this November’s election.  Brown, who raised a little more than $15,000 and earned less than 30 percent of the vote against Rep. Bob Inglis in 2004, has scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. Monday.

Brown isn’t coming right out with it, but does say he’s “one step away” from filing his candidate’s papers.

He also notes that South Carolina Democrats don’t have anyone to challenge Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham in November, although Graham will have plenty of company on the June primary ballot. [DAN HOOVER - Greenville News]

The only way this race would be at all close is if we gave the almost-party-switching Brown about a 40 point advantage.  And even then, he probably still wouldn’t cover the spread.

Actually, a Charleston attorney announced for the Democratic nomination over a month ago. So, that makes two Dems in the race.

Noone needs money to overtake Lindsey Graham. He has not represented the people of this state. The state requires and wants representation in DC. Anyone that is decent and HONEST can beat Lindsey Graham.
