Courtesy of SCHotline, we received this video from Lt. Gov. André Bauer encouraging us to support our “seasoned citizens.” Since this is for a good cause and considering we haven’t heard from Bauer in like 18 months, I figured I’d pass the information along. But a note to André : if you get a red sweater, you’ll be all the rage. Or maybe not.
Anyway, here’s the event info for the New Years Eve ball, which I encourage everyone to attend:
Please Join Lt. Governor André Bauer and the Palmetto Tomorrow Foundation at a Gala as we ring in the New Year with The Legends of Surf Music:

I got tickets today. It ought to be a blast…
It would be nice for the Lt. Governor to stop ignoring disabled people. It’s right to take care of seniors and it’s also right to take care of the sick and needy
The Lt. Governor’s Office on Aging is engaged with the adult disabled population in more ways than ever before. In fact, in Orangeburg County the Office on Aging has granted money to build the first senior center for disable adults! This is really important and will end up being a model for other counties and states.
The Lt. Governor’s office also fought just about everyone to make sure the new Medicaid transportation system was assessable to the disabled. This is very important as the disabled have a difficult time getting proper medical care without this specialize transportation.
I am involved with the disabled community, so I know all this. I can say without hesitation, the Lt. Governor’s office on Aging is more receptive to helping challenged peoples than any other office in State government. If for some reason you find that not to be true, just call the director there…and he will see to it personally. (He is a friend).
Seasoned Citizens sounds delicious. BAM!
[...] Andre Bauer’s office earlier today that I was going to mention at some point. Bauer has been heavily pushing “seasoned citizen” issues, and he was here today hoping to “motivate candidates” into paying more attention. [...]
