Romney hunting

THE NATIONAL REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION, THAT IS

If you watched Meet the Press Sunday, you were probably quite surprised to hear that presidential candidate Mitt Romney — a man who has been hunting all of two times in his life and, on the certain days of the week where he favors gun control, would probably repeal the Second Amendment — received an endorsement from the NRA.

“I just talked about, about guns. I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA,” he told host Tim Russert during the show. Except, Romney never received an endorsement from the National Rifle Association.

In fact, during the 2002 gubernatorial race in which Romney claimed the group backed his campaign, he received a “B” grade from the NRA while his Democratic opponent, Shannon O’Brien, earned an “A.”

So I can only assume that Romney meant he had been endorsed by the National Rehabilitation Association… you know, because of his chronic lying syndrome and his campaign-threatening flip-flopper’s disease.

As FITSNews said about the incident, “We’re to the point with this guy where the only real news value associated with him would be if something popped out of his mouth … and it accidentally ended up being true.”

More likely the National Restaurant Association — they liked his position on health regulations, perhaps.
