In South Africa, they are considered two of hip hop’s biggest rivals. The rivalry is such that any claim of friendship or mutual respect between them will elicit guffaws.
But radio personality Scoop Makhathini, who has had encounters with both artistes, insists they respect each other in spite of their well documented beef.
Scoop Makhathini, one of the respected voices on South African radio and himself a musician, building on the notion hates so much when one has loved so much, stated the two artistes love and respect each other.
This statement might shock many, but not muso DJ Vigilante, a respected South African producer, who, like Scoop Makhathini, thinks the rift between AKA and Cassper Nyovest is just an exaggeration and the two might hug and kiss like they did a couple of years ago at Cassper Nyovest’s Fill Up concert.
By the way, AKA and Cassper Nyovest have signed a boxing deal with EFC & SuperSport for a fight in September 2020. Both artistes have confirmed the boxing match. It was reported the match would have taken place earlier but for the coronavirus pandemic.
