WCBD-TV Charleston is reporting that Sen. Jake Knotts has submitted a Freedom of Information request for the organization Carolinians for Reform.
This is the same organization that Governor Mark Sanford recently came under fire for giving public funds to.
Sanford gave part of a $150,000 grant to the organization.
State Director, John Crangle is calling for a review.
Senator Knotts wants to gather more information about Carolinians for Reform and find out who the organization is contributing to.
News Two is also submitting a Freedom of Information request.
This is definitely something to keep an eye on.

Senator Knotts is too kind to Mark Sanford. The Senator ought to demand disclosure on The Charleston Heritage Foundation and at least 5 other Sanford front groups used to raise big money in secret.
Mark Sanford is raising millions of dollars from rich, out of state, special interest groups…and that money is unregulated. Some of these “fat cats” have given tens of thousands of dollars to Sanford and Company and yet NO T one penny is disclosed.
Now, the question is…WHY DO RICH OUT OF STATE PEOPLE GIVE BIG BUCKS TO THE GOVERNOR OF SC? I think we all know the answer to that.
But Mark Sanford can rest easily as he knows the SC media will never ask the hard questions that would require disclosure.
