The friends and family of Kyle Fleischmann, the 24-year-old who went missing last Friday night, are holding what they hope will be a huge fundraiser at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C. [Directions]. The event will take place Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 p.m. – 4:50 p.m.
Donations will assist Kyle’s family in paying for the ongoing search efforts, as well as the cost of flyers and other expenses. According to Ashlie McGirt Spoon, a friend of Kyle’s, the costs are “getting expensive and his family needs all the help they can get.” To make things worse, Spoon said Kyle’s mother is having surgery for breast cancer Friday, which means expenses are adding up fast.
“My friend and I are also going to the Charlotte Checkers game on Friday night to hand out 2,000 flyers and get as many people involved as we can,” Spoon said. “We have set this up with the Checkers staff, we have t-shirts made, and Checkers are even putting it up on their Jumbotron for us.
“We would love to make this HUGE, and know that every little thing can help to bring Kyle home safely.”
