America is gearing up for new elections in 2024, and former president Donald Trump already has his hat in the ring. He’s eager to return to the office from which he was booted out by the voters years ago.
But how far can he go this time? Opinions are sorely divided about his chances at the pool, with some analysts noting that his chances are slimmer this time because America has seen him in his true colors during his first term.
And yet some think he has a chance against the incumbent because Biden, according to them, has not shown strong leadership in many areas, including the conflict in Eastern Europe and China’s aggression in Taiwan. Trump launched his bid for the Republican Party nomination for 2024 with a well-known slogan that indicates he’ll be making America not only great but glorious again.
His declaration for the Repoublican Party nomination two years in advance was reportedly intended to discourage his competitors from pursuing the same position.
In his speech announcing his candidacy, he described his campaign as a collective effort that will put America first. “Are you getting ready?” he asked rhetorically.
He said he was ready.
It is now up to the Americans to make a decision.
