We’re not usually ones to say “we told you so.” But Miss Teen South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton, has reportedly inked a deal worth up to $25,000 per day as a model for Donald Trump. And, for some odd reason, people are actually surprised.

Come on folks, we predicted this the day after the video broke. As World News Daily reported Sunday:

Lauren Caitlin Upton, 18, of Lexington, S.C., reportedly flew to New York City today to begin employment for Trump Model Management.

“My lifelong dream has been to travel the world and pursue my modeling career,” Upton told WIS-TV. “Randomly, [my mistake] has offered me that opportunity.”

The station says she’ll live in the Trump Apartments in Manhattan, with potential assignments in faraway places “such as” Milan, Japan and Australia. There was no mention of “the Iraq” or South Africa, two countries Upton dwelt upon in a rambling answer at the pageant. [JOE KOVACS - WND]

Yeah… cough… “randomly.”

Earthquakes are random. Coin flips are random. Britney Spears running around without underwear is random. Spouting off the most unintelligent, pre-rehearsed gobbledygook in response to a 4th grade geography question is NOT random.

The worst part is that we all got played. We (The Palmetto Scoop included) sat around and laughed at her because she made us feel good about having an IQ above 75.

But less than a month after she fell flat on her face in front of millions, she’s the one laughing at us. And deservedly so.

Seriously… raise your hand if you make $25,000 per day. Anyone? Exactly.

We really do hate to say it, but we told you so.
