David Carr put up some good statistics considering the ineptitude of the Houston Texans. Calling him a bust is a gross overstatement. If he had a solid supporting cast in Houston, he most likely would have been a successful N.F.L. quarterback. I remember a couple of former N.F.L. quarterbacks who struggled and were even benched at one time; but their fortunes turned for the better, once they got a better supporting cast. Do the names Terry Bradshaw and Phil Simms mean anything to you? If the Giants ever lose Eli Manning to an injury, they will most likely be thankful that they signed him as a backup.

Good move for David to make the switch to the white gloves.
Still.. he is an inept weak QB and will never amount to squat.
He turned out to be a huge bust in Houston.
He cares way to much about his pretty boy image. Remember in Houston when he went with the long hair for a little while and then made a huge deal about it when he got it cut. David, no one cares about your hair or your classy white gloves. Why don't you stand back in the pocket and take a few more sacks while you are at it. You made us Houstonians suffer with your inept play for so long. Its so refreshing to see you having the same exact struggles just with another team. Its pathetic when the Panthers opt to play Vinny (40 plus year old QB) over David. Thats gotta be a big moral boost. THANK GOD HE HAS LEFT HOUSTON!!

[...] Forty-three may not sound that old, but in the NFL it’s pushing it considering you’re facing 20-year-olds with warp speed and superhuman strength. Anyway, Testaverde (who if you were to insert “cle” in the middle of his name would become “Testacle-verde,” he-he) was signed this week by the Panthers because their starting quarterback is out for the season and their back-up quarterback is a possible cake boy who wears white gloves.
We said Carr was the biggest bust SINCE Ryan Leaf. "SINCE" does not mean "on the same level as."

Peyton Manning would have been no good behind that offensive line in Houston. They used an expansion draft pick on Tony Boselli, with the intention that he would be their stud left tackle. But he had an injury, apparently, and I don't know if he ever really even played for the Texans. I've heard some things about whether the Jaguars knew he was hurt and that's why they exposed him to the expansion draft in the first place.

David Carr isn't a bust on the same level as Ryan Leaf. In fact, David Carr played really well - statistically - last year.

I don't know - I like this site, but maybe you should stick more to politics because you seem to be off a bit on your sports analysis.
