A poll released Wednesday by Clemson University doesn’t tell us much that we didn’t already know, but solidifies a few current trends. Hillary Clinton continues to hold double-digits leads over the remainder of the Democratic field in South Carolina, while Barack Obama and John Edwards lock down second and third, respectively.

Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani are neck-in-neck and John McCain continues to regain ground. Mike Huckabee is starting to show a presence in the top tier while Mitt Romney remains stranded at the 8-12 percent mark.

The only number that deviates from the status quo is the Democrat’s undecided total, which is an astronomical increase from recent polls.

Fred Thompson – 19
Rudy Giuliani – 18
John McCain – 15
Mitt Romney – 11
