NO, IT’S NOT ACTUALLY 5,000… YET

Our bad boy blogger brother from another mother, Sic Willie, has developed a great list of the 100 most powerful people in the Palmetto State. The “Palmetto Power 100″ lists South Carolina’s “most influential political power brokers” in painstaking detail. Although we can’t confirm it, the list reportedly began as the “S.C. Sucks Six” and evolved into the “FITS Fifty Fartknockers” before taking it’s current name and shape.

And rumor has it that next year’s list will be the FITSNews 5,000. So we have a lot to look forward to.

As far as this year’s list, Sic Willie did a heck of a job. We think he gave a bit too much power to state legislators and not enough to lobbyists and consultants, but it’s a tough list to make. We are, however, a little hurt that we didn’t make the list. But our hats are off to his great accomplishment.

He’s even inspired us - although we’re pretty sure we originally inspired him - to possibly create the “Palmetto Pooper-Scooper 25″ of the least influential political players South Carolina has to offer. We may even do a list of the most influential lists of all time.
