Forbes magazine had a little fun and polled 14 presidential hopefuls who have “sufficiently high enough” name ID – seven Democrats, six Republicans and Michael Bloomburg – on their personal traits in the last Forbes ‘08 Tracker survey.
Forty-six different characteristics established by E-Poll Market Research comprise the full data base while neither Forbes.com nor E-Poll defines any of the attributes on which it polls its sample. Each month, Forbes editors will choose four of these traits to highlight. The percentage represents how much of the audience selected this as one of the traits that identify the candidate in their view. A total score, and one for men and women, is included. {Forbes Magazine]
Newt Gingrich – seen above being “creepy” – led the pack as the creepiest “candidate” with Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and Mitt Romney close behind. Here are the numbers:
Newt Gingrich – 19% creepy
Hillary Clinton – 15% creepy
Al Gore – 15% creepy
Mitt Romney – 10% creepy
John McCain – 8% creepy
John Edwards – 6% creepy
Joe Biden – 6% creepy
Rudy Giuliani – 5% creepy
Bill Richardson – 5% creepy
Tommy Thompson – 5% creepy
Barack Obama – 4% creepy
Michael Bloomberg – 4% creepy
Chris Dodd – 4% creepy
Fred Thompson – 2% creepy
This is probably the most vain poll we’ve seen in a while, but then again, we’re a pretty vain society.
And it’s not exactly scientific considering one-third of the “candidates” aren’t actually “candidates,” but funny none-the-less. Yet, we can’t help but question why Joe Biden, Tommy Thompson and Chris Dodd have a lower “creepy value” than John McCain and John Edwards, other than the likelihood that the former have absolutely NO name ID; you may not always agree with McCain or Edwards, but they are far less likely to “creep” someone out than Biden, Thompson or Dodd.

Also notably missing, yet much higher than any of the above in the “creepiness” factor: R*n P*ul. Of course, it wasn’t a poll the P*ultards could flood “to boost name recognition.” LOL. Funny how they’re not screaming about being left out of this one!
Ron Paul is one creepy ass bastard. That guy belongs in the creepy hall of fame. i like how they used creepy pictures for everyone except a few like Richardson.. Anyone say favorite?
