Chris AllenWe have just learned that presidential candidate John McCain (R-Ariz.) has hired Chris Allen of Charleston to serve as the new South Carolina political director. Until now, Allen had been a consultant to the campaign.

Prior to serving on the McCain campaign, Allen worked for and is very close to Gov. and Mrs. Sanford. He is very well known in the state from his various volunteer and staff positions, and is highly respected.

Allen will fill the post vacated by Brad Henry, who left to focus on consulting for Attorney General Henry McMaster.
