While searching the YouTube catacombs, we found this little gem of presidential candidate Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) in 1994 saying that The Contract with America was “not a good idea.” We wonder if this will come up when he visits in South Carolina tomorrow.

    I had lunch with him two weeks after he lost this election — during which, in response to my suggestion that the Contract With America was an important strategic goal to achieve, he said, “nobody cares about the Contract With America, it is a terrible idea.”

    But that was then.
